Worried About Nuclear War With North Korea? Here’s What Investors Need To Know

This past week saw a sharp, (though small in absolute terms) stock market drop over concerns about escalating threats of nuclear war with North Korea.

Specifically, the government of Kim Jung Un stated that it was days away from preparing a potential nuclear strike on Guam to teach America that it can’t be bullied.

Meanwhile, our venerable president Trump took to twitter to respond, saying that America’s response to such an attack would be marked by “fire and fury like the world has never seen”, indicating the potential of wiping out North Korea in a nuclear conflagration.

While these nuclear threats were being lobbed across the Pacific by men whose egos are nearly as large as that ocean, many investors were wondering “what changes to my portfolio should I make to potentially prepare to my portfolio?”

Fortunately history has a very simple answer.
